Zach & Zeke
If you are a new follower here, these are our miracle twin baby boys — Zachariah (left) & Ezekiel (right). You’ll probably be seeing and hearing about them from time to time around here, but let me take a minute to share with you a little of their story.
In 2015, after battling a variety of medical issues and spending way too much time with doctors to try and get some answers, I ultimately underwent a laparoscopy. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s basically a procedure where they poke a camera inside of you to check out the organs around your pelvis. Well, lo and behold, they found a ton of endometriosis inside of me. And if that wasn’t scary enough, they then broke the devastating news to me — my chances of having children would be slim to none…and as they say, slim had just left town.
Fast forward 4 years, and after countless discussion with my now-husband about the possibilities of never having children, we were both on the same page and open to fostering and adopting. Given the doctors’ prognoses and “doors” that He had shut, it came as a complete shock to have gotten pregnant only two months into our marriage! After getting one whole week to wrap our heads around that little surprise, little did we know that a second surprise awaited us at our first ultrasound. I remember crying when I heard the second heartbeat…but the rest of the appointment was a complete blur.
There’s many, many more details than this that I’ll share in the future, but that’s why we see these little men as a miracle from the Lord.
“He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.”
-Deuteronomy 10:21
A blessing not only to the twins parents but everyone that loves Jonathan and Heather.
Our family is so blessed by these 2 wonderful little men…and their Mom & Dad.
